Breakers-on-the-Bay is a small Beach Resort consisting of a lakefront hotel and fine-dining dinner restaurant located on the sandy shores of Lake Huron just 4 miles west of Port Austin on M-25 (Port Austin Rd.).
The hotel has 28 rooms, ALL non-smoking and a private white sandy beach. All rooms have air-conditioning/heat, in-room telephones for local and room calls, cable color TV, dressing area and full bath with tub. Lakefront rooms have refrigerators.
We have 3 styles of rooms: 2 full sized beds, queen bed rooms and king bed rooms. Maximum occupancy per room is 2 adults (plus 2 small children in you have a double-bed room). We also have connecting rooms on our second floor for larger families.
No pets are allowed and you must be at least 21 years old to rent a room. Please feel free to bring your own beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, jet skis and trailered boats if you choose. There is a two night minimum on the weekends in the summer. Holiday weekends are a 3 night minimum. Sometimes we may have a one night available on the weekends, so please call to check availability.
Check in time is anytime after 2:00pm. If you will be arriving later than 10:00 pm, please call us to ensure someone is at the front desk to check you in. Check-out is 10:00 am in-season and 11:00 am off-season.
From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend there is a 30% deposit required at the time the reservation is made. There is a 30 day cancellation policy on deposits as well as a $25.00 cancellation fee per room. Should you need to cancel after the 30 day policy, your deposit is non-refundable; however, please call at least 72 hours prior to your reservation so you will not be charged the full room rate. In the off-season, no deposit is required; however, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Breakers' Beachfront Lobby is exclusive to our hotel guests only and offers 24 hour coffee/tea, free wireless internet access, a complimentary continental breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays in-season, as well as arcade games for children, soda pop machine, microwave oven and tables for dining or playing cards/games, etc.
